It's Over, The End! All Gone!

Today was the last day that I will be driving my beloved 309! Soon it will either be on the selling block or sent down to Milwaukee for them to drive. I guess that's where they send all the junkers when we are done with them!
She was a wonderful first bus & I will really miss her but it's time to move on! Goodbye my 309, I love you my faithful friend!

THE END! BACK END THAT IS!

Helmet Heads!

All summer long I have considered purchasing a moped, but then I thought, "I'll have to get a good helmet too, and that could cost about $50.00 more." And then there is the problem of getting hit by a car! Anyway, that being said, Troy got a new helmet so he can go four wheeling & be safe. When I told him my moped story, he & Connie said that I could have his old motorcycle helmet. So maybe the moped is back on the table for me! Maybe next year! By the way, the boy in the blue shirt is Trevor. He put on his goggles so no one would recognize him! Did it work?

And here I am in my new helmet! I think it looks kind of dorky but it will protect my brain should it come in contact with any concrete. But maybe I should have one that would be more protective of my face! We wouldn't want any thing to spoil that perfection, now would we!

My 17th Birthday Outfit!

I found my pictures from the 'olden days' and on the back of the pictures it says, "my 17th birthday". So I received this outfit April 4, 1968.

Happy Birthday Jane!

Today is my sister, Jane's 55th birthday. I couldn't decide what pictures to post so there are alot of them but I love looking at them and I still remember being there when some of them were taken and that is a good thing!
Looks like mom got a hold of you with the curlers!

In your Easter bonnet & coat. Is that the coat you ripped off the botton & put in the collection basket at church?

Looks like you & Rob didn't want to have a picture that day! Look we all had a flip hair do!

Here you are with your head in the trees or bushes!

Graduation Picture~you can't believe what you wrote on the back of that picture to me! I don't want to embarrass you here in public & all! High School Graduation! College Graduation! Here comes the Bride!
Some of my favorite pictures of me & you!

Please Pass The Milk!

I came across another old picture & it reminded me of "Don't Drink Milk For Thirst". Suppertime when we were kids! No Milk For You!

Kermis & Petal Pounding

I helped my sister Ellen today in the Garden Club/Historical Society booth at the 27th Anual Kermis Dutch Festival.
I helped Ellen demonstrate petal pounding as taught to us by our sister Jane. Tons of people stopped by the Garden Club/Historical Society booth to try their hand/hammer at it. Everyone really liked it & some of the kids came back 3 times to do it again. It was pretty much fun!

We used Jane's projects for examples as to what the finished product would look like. Pretty Nice!!
