Scrapbook Weekend!

Once a year we get together for a weekend of scrapbooking, acting silly & laughing really hard!

and then we were joined by Connie

and Kim...she doesn't scrap book but she can do nail painting!
The second generation scrapbookers hung out in the kitchen making cards, acting silly & having some laughing time too! From left to right~Tori, Skyler & Jaimee.

Lisa joined us for a while & we took a break for a group picture to give Stephanie for her birthday present...

what could be a better gift than a picture of her husband to be's family!

When we couldn't take it any more we called it a night for another year!

Big Projects Done!

With the last heat wave that we had I FINALLY got all my windows washed! It's not embarassing any more when the sun shines through my windows! A few weeks ago I had 5 days off in a row, so I decided to finish painting my living room! This is a before picture...

I had to paint my front hall when I did the back wall because it was all connected...that's why I put it off for so long! I am REALLY glad that it is done now!

I finally got new pictures of the kids to put in my frame that I got for Christmas, last year! They are sooooo cute...

I didn't have the heart to take down the old picture of the kids because I like it so much. I have a big wall so I just added the new ones!

I've Been Vandalized~Almost Killed & Didn't Know It!

I don't know if it happened during the night, (I didn't hear anything if it did), or after I left this morning to drive my bus. But, some "drunken lout"~my Judge always used to say that when he was sentencing someone for bad behavior while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, drove off the street onto my yard...just missing the power pole! toward my house~the garage part but my bedroom is just on the back corner so it was close! If you see the house in the top left of this picture, that is where they ended up going back on the road, so that was pretty far to travel!

their tire tracks went JUST on the side of the little tree that Ellen gave me & that I just planted 2 weeks ago...if you click on the picture to make it bigger you will see the little tree...at which point they must have seen the building & turned to the left to avoid it...just missing the other small bush right up there next to the corner of the garage...

This is a picture from my side yard & the house on the corner is where he went back on the road! It would have been a scarey thing to see, I wonder if the person will remember or what they will think if they drive by my house & see the ruts left in my lawn. I think we were all spared of something that could have ended with more than ruts in a lawn. Today is Wednesday, maybe I should go buy a lottery ticket!

Jordan & Stephanie Are Engaged!

Yesterday, my nephew, Jordan, asked his girlfriend, Stephanie, to marry him, and she said YES! Congratulations! P.S. I stole this picture from her facebook~but I really love it & I didn't have one of my own! Anyway, Happy Engagement!

Tale of the Village Christmas Tree!

Once upon a time there was a young girl & young boy who met on a beach in Kenosha. They fell in love and got married.

They had a beautiful best lady in their wedding party...but I digress,

They had a little boy...& five years later, a little girl, and they bought a little blue cottage home with an evergreen tree out front.

The tree grew and grew and grew until it was bigger than the little blue cottage!

One day the Village people, that would be the people from the Village, told the young couple that they needed to replace the sewer lateral going up to the little blue cottage. The young couple would have to chop down the evergreen tree and in doing so they would grant the little, big tree wish. They would donate the tree as the Christmas Tree in the Village Square.
The Village people came and gently took the little, big tree...

Adding the first Christmas bow, the young girl bids her tree farewell.

To it's new home in the Village Square for a Merry Christmas!




And now the people of the neighborhood can see the little blue cottage once again!
