What I did on Labor Day Weekend!

I joined another block of the month club. I like it because they are using batik fabric. In this block of the month there are four blocks~I like that too! July blocks

Kaffe, Outside The Box

This is a piece of material that was used in the sashing. I cut it in 3/4" strips & then sewed it between 2~2 inch pieces of black material to complete the sashing that is around the squares. It looks like it was weaved into the black material. Quite unique!
I finished the top of my Kaffe quilt. The person who designed this material is Kaffe Fassett. It was a block of the month at Quilters Connection in Green Bay. I would have never picked any of this material if I was doing it by myself but I am glad they did & that I participated. I think it turned out nice & even though it's wild, I really like it! It measures 65 inches wide by 79 inches long

This is the next Kaffe material that they will be doing as a block of the month. I think I just might do another one!

A Sewing Weekend!

This is Hagar's square. It's called Hither and Yon. Her Egyptian
name may mean fugitive or immigrant. Her joy: to know that God
cared, that He saw her suffering and heard her cry, and that He
helped her when she needed Him most!
Just like He does for us!

This was the most confusing square I have made so far~I'm
glad it's done!

My Very First Quilt!!!

I call it "All Mom's Material"! Mostly because I used all of mom's material! I really love even though there are a multitude of mistakes! She would think it's perfect! I can't believe that I did it~I couldn't have done it without my sister Jane! I'm so happy that she asked me to make a quilt with her! Without further a do meet "All Mom's Material" This is the front...
This is the back...
And, here it is on Grandma & Grandpa's old bed...

Sweet!

Quilt Squares Again!

This first square is The Samaritan Woman: Finding the Water of Life in Jesus! This second one is the second in a series of squares called Outside the Box with Kaffe~I don't know what that means~I just thought the material was pretty!
I really don't like triangles though!

Black & White Quilt Top Done!

I finally finshed the top of my black & white quilt top! I still have to do the back but I'm going to do something else before I get to that~but not to worry~you will see it first when it's all finished~just don't hold your breath~you might pass out!

Hannah's Qult Square

This is my Hannah square, and, earthly speaking, it's the most perfect square I have made yet! I am so happy that it turned out nice. It will probably throw the rest of the quilt off because my other squares are not as even as this one. I will just have to make them fit!
