Second Day of School!

This morning my bus routes were wonderful! Everyone behaved themselves-(2 of the sassy boys didn't ride the junior high route today!) & had a nice ride. I picked up my elementary kids today & boy they sure did grow up over the summer! It was fun to see the kindergarteners finally get to ride the bus. All last year they stood by while their older siblings got to ride. They all climbed up those big steps with a big smile on their faces...and then they had to turn around so their moms could take their pictures! I drove up to one stop & people had video cameras & still cameras out taking pictures as I drove up & kept filming until their kids got on board. Now I know how movie stars feel with all the cameras! even though they weren't taking my picture, I can still imagine!

Today my walk lasted an hour & a half because I cut my grass! It was so nice..the temperature is about 15 degrees cooler than yesterday & we had some rain last night!

This is my lunch for the week. Egg salad sandwich with sugar snap peas, instead of patatoe chips, cran water to clean out the liver & kidney's-(mine), and my fish oil gel tab so I don't loose my mind sooner than expected!

First Day of School!

Well, remember a few posts ago on the last day of school... I felt tears coming into my eyes? Well there are no tears today! While my route is the same, the order I pick the kids up has changed! So that means my sassy boys get picked up on the 4th stop! so they are on almost the entire way to school. They started right in where they left off last when they got on the bus so on the 1st day of school they got a warning already. I told them they get no warnings because they were warned last year, they will just get written up. Can't wait to get the elementary kids tomorrow! Even so I really love doing it and I even had a few girls thank me for the ride & I should have a nice day too!

There she is, my 309...she's real fine! But her days are numbered. They are getting rid of all the 300 series buses and replacing them with new buses. So off to the bone yard she goes! I think they might just sell them to people who want to make campers out of them or something. But she is special to me because she is my first bus! I don't know if I will get one of the new buses but I will get a different one, which I'm sure will be special too in it's own way!
The Door to my office!

My Office!

This is where I sit...
This is what I see, (when I'm in the yard)...
This is where THEY sit...until they get suspended for being sassy! My poor old 309!
And I have been wanting to change some of my bad habits for about a year now, but today I have resolved to go for it! You know, like exercise, eating habits & the such.
SO.......
When I get home from my morning bus run, I go immediately for a walk because if I go in the house I will get side tracked & not have any exercise the rest of the day! The neighborhood is very quiet on this the first day of school! I don't have a noisey neighborhood but today they're aren't even any cars going up & down the street! After my walk I sit in the sun and have my quiet time. It is such sweet time!
And another thing I am trying to change: not eating fast food! So after my walk I come back home & prepare myself my Arbonne fiber drink so things will run smoothly again. And 3 servings of fruit~actually there are 4-I put strawberries in the fiber drink!
And I am enjoying the fruit while posting this on my blog! Wait till you see what's for lunch!

Material for Next Quilt Chosen!

We're doing another quilt on line that Amanda Jean has done. She used retro material so I tried to pick something close to what she had. It looks like it's going to pretty RED but we'll see how it goes. I can't start until next week because I have to go to JoAnn's to get some background material~mom doesn't have enough of one kind to use. I will go on Thursday because I have a 50% off coupon so I can get it cheaper. If you want to check out Amanda Jean's quilt just click here:

I warn you though, if you look you will want to make one too! So proceed with caution & at your own risk!
Happy Labor Day! School starts tomorrow!

Another Project Done!

While this project didn't take 8 years to finish like the curb appeal project, it has been pending since February. I had to dust it off to finish it but it is done!
10 Journals for writting down precious
thoughts & memories!

Now, if only the largest project was finished....
I wonder how long this one will take!

The TALL Living room walls! One of these days I'll get another spurt of energy! I could use an automatic lifter with a basket to get me close to the top without spilling paint everywhere!

Karate Girl!

Last week Skyler was tested to get her high yellow belt in her karate class. It was fun to watch but it made me very tense, especially when she was getting punched and when she was kicking the boards.

Why is that girl trying to beat up my sister!?

Choosing just the right boards to break
these are just the right ones...............!
Let's get cracking!

Breaking the second board! Breaking the first board!

Success!! The boards are broken!!!!!!!!!

And we have a high yellow belt!
